What I ment is that this one looks more impressive than other manufactured pyramid cases, I admit the term "unusual" was a bit misplaced there

in the class of HTPC cases this is actually one of the best i have seen.

you cannot compare this case to tower cases.

Thats the worst case ive seen so far this year.I wouldnt pay $50 for it.Looks like a real pain to put together too.And I just noticed a slot for the graphics card too and no way to tie it to the case with only the pcie slot holding it.

Interesting concept, nice materials, expensive machining process (because it's NOT PLASTIC) and finishing, definately an interesting start for that company. I do like the idea, but it's definately not for the overclockers out there, though I could see some places where it'd be a nice addition as a very clean looking htpc or similar. No sorry dude...

You did a Great review, but this product itself is just silly.

Anyone who buys this is either silly themselves, or just plain desperate for attention.

It is utterly impractical, needs a totally unrealistic amount of space on a desk, and by very design makes it almost impossible to use half of the various add-on's available on the open PC market. It's a bad design intended for a very VERY small segment of the market, with an eye for pointless gimmicks.

It's not that I'm trying to be negative, just realistically observational.

Its still interesting to read about, and again you did a very nice review, that i did enjoy reading & seeing how they had chosen to assemble & work this design - but I cant think of one person I've ever met that would actually buy this thing - or even set up a PC in it if they where given one for free.

Its just way too impractical. It takes the concept of a SMALL HTPC / ULPC type application & nearly triples its base size.

Thanks everyone for your comments on the review.

Truthfully, this case was never designed to be a primary computer but more as a supplemental desktop. I myself run a Lian-Li full tower with 9 hard drives and that is my primary server. The thing is, I really wanted something that was unusual and interesting that I could place on my desk and would catch people's attention.

What I really wanted to create was a DeathStar case but trust me on this, that's even more impractical and has the small licensing issue

This was meant to be my first handcrafted entry into the computer case world.

I acknowledge that it's expensive but the current price is actually what the parts cost. You have to keep in mind, I used premium components (lots of expensive aluminum and machining) and I'm not a multinational corporation. Heck, the power supply itself costs $50 for oem pricing and that's the price of some cheap cases.

In summary, I built 20 of these to test the market and see if there was interest for my personal design aesthetic knowing that they would not be utilitarian like most cases. All in all, it was pretty exciting to make a product from scratch and get it onto the market and have it reviewed like any other product. It gave me real appreciation for the small companies like MNPCTECH and HighSpeedPC and the challenges involved.

I acknowledge that it's expensive but the current price is actually what the parts cost. You have to keep in mind, I used premium components (lots of expensive aluminum and machining) and I'm not a multinational corporation. Heck, the power supply itself costs $50 for oem pricing and that's the price of some cheap cases. In summary, I built 20 of these to test the market and see if there was interest for my personal design aesthetic knowing that they would not be utilitarian like most cases. All in all, it was pretty exciting to make a product from scratch and get it onto the market and have it reviewed like any other product. It gave me real appreciation for the small companies like MNPCTECH and HighSpeedPC and the challenges involved.
