Just a word of advice if you decide to buy. Look for 939 Opteron processors. They are manufacturered longer so they tend to sell for much less than the Athlon equivilent. I got my Opteron 180 for about $225 back in early 2008 (vs some $800-1000 for an Athlon X2 4800+).

i dont want to spend £250 for a back up cpu i can geta cheap single core 3400+ for £16 inc postage from ebay

okay i think the cpu is frazzled because i tried a piece of wire from an old tv Ariel and it didnt work im going to get a 5amp fuse wire tho and defo try that

Sad to see a 939 processor go, my x2 4400+ has served me well, saddly I just sold it(though since they are rather rare, I got enough from selling it to buy a Phenom II if I wanted, but I put the money towards a M4A79 Deluxe)... Those things were mightly little beasts.

think about it they are rare and still can compete with AM2s

i am sad to see it go because now i will have a shitty single core in my system even if it is a decent one 3500+ im going to replace it with

the 3400+ has SSE3 and is a newer core than the 3500+

my friend it is work with me once , my old 1.7 celeron one pin fall i stick it using super glue nothing more , but also it is look crazy move i think it was some kind of more luck too
