Might be a stupid question and I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but there is no harm in using a 95 watt TDP CPU on a 125 watt motherboard, correct (the CPU will only draw as much as it needs, it won't burn out or anything)?

    Should work fine.

However, check the manufacturers website for the cpu support list for your board as some boards do not support every chip.

it would be ok since your processor will draw lower power than your board can supply
