1440X900 any good for gaming?

thinking about buying monitor in tha resolution ..anybody have some feedback about quality////?

if your going that far you should really consider 1600*1200, much better.

That's actually not that bad because it's a widescreen resolution and you can see more of the game(the sides are extended).

Yeah, but 1440x900 is a widescreen resolution and only on widescreen monitors. I was also thinking about getting 2.
