I am interested in buying a 150$ gpu that is normally better than the one I have.
Show me your offers, I might be interested.
I live in EU, so the shipping might vary.

They aren't at retailers yet, but yeah I would get one when they release. Nice little cards.

    Not selling here, just have
$0.02 for thought. I have a 6950 with shaders unlocked to 6970, running at 950 Mhz and it is amazing! I came from a Mobo P4 AGP 8x set up sop everything is amazing to me, but they are almost neck and neck performance wise, I'm not sure how the 7 series is for OC, but if you can get a 6950 on a budget, it'll probably resell for the price you payed for it. So, it's almost worth buying it to try it........maybe? Sorry to rabbit trail. I just love mine.

    Cheers! and Good Luck!

6970s are great cards. If you can find an xfx you get a lifetime warranty as well. the 7850 would be nice if you plan on adding a second card for crossfire at some point. I would be worried that the card by itself will not be able to play next gen titles at the resolution I want.

What kinda games are you looking to play by the way? If you want to max out crysis 3 I would say spend the extra $50 (after $30 rebate) and get a powercolor 7870 tahiti LE... overclock the crap out of it and have 7950 equivalent.

    I play 1920x1080
I hate Crisis game so all I have to say is getting a card which plays nearly all games at max or nearly max.
I want temp, noise and stuff like that too so I would go with 7850 if i have the chance

If you aren't willing to go with older gpus, then the 7850 is the best bet you will have. Here's my 3dmark11 for reference on an overclocked 7850:

I am running arctic silver 5 instead of the default thermal paste on my XFX 7850 and it reduced my temperatures 5-10*C. 1100 mhz core at 1.15v

See the HD 7850 would be a much better buy than a HD 6950 or 6970

    My Sapphire HD 6950 OC'd 900/1400 vs his HD 7850 1100/1200

I don't know what i will do with the 6770 since I always left it always downclocked cuz of overheat.
I might trade the card, but only if i find a gpu. (or as u said, sell it)
With a dual fan cooler i guess that it would work good, but i dont know if its the gpu overheating or the fan who won't do the job right.

Interesting comparison, I was kind of expecting my 7850 to be about equal to your 6950. Do you think your 4100 bottlenecks it?

You could also use it as a source for a secondary monitor so as to not slow down your primary, or just hang onto it. A second gfx card is useful if you mess up a bios flash for example.

Horrible site to compare cards as it only compares specs and not real performance
