This is why said don't push past 450fsb. Data corruption from the RAM. :)
Wait im confuzzled lol, on newegg they all say the fsb is 1333/1066MHz so then im assuming 450fsb is?
*again the newb of oc is a pain in the arse...

1333/1066 is QDR(Quad pumped data rate) Which is equal to 333/266fsb.

ah, thats right i remember reading that somewhere about that..

an example...

E6600 runs at 2.4ghz with 1066fsb, that was 266*4
E8400 runs at 3ghz with 1333fsb, that was 333*4

wen you practice oc it's deppending the mobo; nvidia chipsets show you in the bios the real FSB, but in intel chipsets you see the numbers divide by 4, so, if you have an 680, 780, 790 mobo and you wanna make oc in the bios you have to put 1600, for example in a E6600 to runs at 3.6ghz (1600 % 4 * 9) when 9 is the multiplier.
and if you have an intel chipset yo have to put fsb to 400 (400 * 4 * 9) to have a 3.6ghz:)

I would drop that TRU 120 and get a Xigamtek S1283. Has a better price/performance ratio. But if u don't care about money then much that get a TRUE and lap it.

2: Yeah, I was also looking at the 780i southbridge i believe? It blows air right onto the gpu

I have the 780i FTW MOBO and the Antec 900, which is basicly like the 1200 except it's a mid tower ATX and the 1200 is a full tower ATX case. First it's the northbridge you are talking about, and second i am running a dual SLI system and i notice that my bottom video card has higher temps then my top (the one that recives the northbride air). the reason im telling you thiss is because both cases are bottom mounting PSU cases. and the air comming out of my PSU is really heating up my bottom video card.

Also i noticed you stated you would rather not order from newegg because of the DOA possibilties. i have had a quite a bunch of stuff ordered from newegg and so far i havn't had a DOA.

i would also like to suggest this case if your going to use a full tower case

Thanks for the advice!
1: Well I was thinking of getting two of those 32mb cache drives and putting them in a raid 0 config. I also still have a OLD 40gb IDE hd with windows xp on it.
2: Yeah, I was also looking at the 780i southbridge i believe? It blows air right onto the gpu =/ Any tips on other mobos?
* Does the ultra 120 fit in the antec 1200?
3: Yes I am interested in an i7 build but ddr3 and x58 are quite expensive =/

You could easily wait for Denab and get a more durable chip than the
Q9550. From what I've seen AMD has a superior 45nm process. Anyway
with that you'll be getting more bang for your buck. Ram will still be
DDR2, your mobo may be cheaper, it may not... but $300+ for a processor
like the Q9550 is not really worth it. I would save myself some money,
and also can the antec 1200 or spend more and get a better case. I don't
know what to suggest as far as a case, but keep your eye out for good
deals on Lian Li or Silverstone.

As for "blowing air into the GPU" even if it's warmer air more air is better than
no air flow. You should also think if that's even going to matter with the
air flow of your case. What kind of screen do you have to warrant the use
of a 295? I'm pretty sure a single 285 would make more sense if your
resolution isn't a 19x12 format.
