So I've installed the cooler on the grafics card, connected the 4 pin fan connector to the card's fan header, but I can't normally control the fan's rpm, When i set the fan speed to 20% when idle (via afterburner, Gigabyte OC Guru, ot leave it on default without using any software), the fan starts ramping to max rpm, then low, then max again and so on. While watching the rpm curve I notice false readings- it goes from 0 do 60k rpm but the fan speed % stays at 20%, although it is actually changing

If i set it ot 33% (less makes the above problem) it is O.K. It says the fans are running at about 1500 rpm, which i think is correct, but the fan's max rpm are 2000 so 1500rpm is about 70 %.

Finally when i try to get the fans at more than 40% (again manually) they actualyl start running at 100%- no matter if I set it to 50- 60- 70 % or so on.
I've tried with different drivers, older versions ot msi afterburner, but with no success
Has anyone got the same cooler and faced a similar problem ?

Thanks

Can you not set a custom curve to fix it?

Even whithout using a custom fan profile (without installing afterburner ot oc guru) it still makes the same problem) I can set it ot 33% and leave it there, but I want it to be on the lowest fan speed when idle

At the bottom of that page, it states there are three profiles available via software. Although I do not see software in the downloads, and I have no idea what they are talking about, it would explain your experience with changing the percentage values.

They also make this disclaimer....

Note: Please assure that the pin assignment is identical to the cooler on your graphics card. We have this far no knowledge of any graphics card manufacturer not following this standard. If it should still be the case, you can with help of a needle remove the pins from the plug and rearrange them.

So the Accelero pins are 1-Black 2- Red 3- Yellow 4- Blue.
On my stock cooler they're 1- Black 2- Yellow 3- Green 4- Blue. So if the green on the stock is like the red on the accelero, looks like they are in different places. Could this be the problem ?

Yep, the pins are right. I've just read something on the support section about fan speed irregularities on Nvidia cards, which explains my problem:

"Nvidia graphics cards with their latest drivers may be misinterpreting the fan speed of our coolers and thus the reporting through software is wrong. Further Nvidia is no longer controlling the fan speed depending on PWM values based on the GPU temperature. E.g. if you set 30% PWM, Nvidia translates it into 1050 RPM. Independent whether you run a 40 mm (10,000 RPM max) or a 140 mm (1,500 RPM max) fan and independent of their maximum fan speeds, Nvidia will drive both at exactly 1050 RPM.

Nvidia's inability interpreting the fan speed signal might make the graphics card's controller spin the fan up and down"
So I guess I'll be keeping it on 33 %
