What would you choose out of these 2 cars?

  1. 2008 Corvette

    64.3%
  2. 2009 370z

    35.7%

Time to trade in my 2005 350z. It has 65,000 miles on it and I need to sell it before it loses all value. Its paid off so I will either trade it in, or sell it FSBO.

So I want another sports car and am having a hard time deciding on a used 2008 vette or a new 370z. Both have +'s and -'s.

Basically I can get a 08 vette with LT2 or LT3 package along with Z51 sports package, under 10,000 miles OR for the same price a 09 370z.

That's a tough decision. I'd say the 'Vette though, even if I'm not a bif 'Vette fan. If you get some nice sport rims and a bad ass exhaust, it will definitely be worth it over the 370Z.

Yeah, Honestly Im leaning towards the corvette. 6.2L 436hp, vs 3.7L v6 332hp. The biggest thing for me is depreciation on a new car. I don't like losing 15% the second I drive off the lot. I think the 370z has a quiter ride, and the rev matching manual is sweet.

    Some shots of my Z.

I don't know much about cars but I do admire the looks of Corvette '08 and it goes 0-60 in 4 secs. Much more horsepower compared to 370z + the looks not to mention the pricetag

Without a doubt, get the Vette. Way larger penis is inside, women will love you, men will love you. It's American. It just looks better.

I think once you got some straight pipes or a Magnaflow exhaust on a Corvette, it will be much better than the 370Z. With that kind of choice, I'd definitely take the one with the better sound.

You're all about the sound of the car :toast:. I agree a V8 will sound awesome. BUt I do like the sound of the Nissan VQ engines as well.

The Vette would be used. I live in Arizona, and with all the housing foreclosures and massive layoffs there are a plethora of excellent used cars, great time to be a buyer. I have found 2008 vettes with under 8000 miles, with Lt2 options package AND the Z51, all for under 37,000. Off the lot this would be closer to 48-50K. ALso 37K is the opening offer, more then likely I could haggle that down with a cash offer 3-4K below asking.

After asking all my friends it was a 50/50 split. SO I brought the question to the net.

I'm just saying if you're going to get a car like a Corvette it should at least have a nice exhaust.

Well the Z51 package comes with the upgraded exhaust. Which adds a whopping 6Hp and 8ft/lbs of torque. It sounds pretty beastly, especially when you get RPMs above 4,000.

Defineatly the Vette, far more power, especially if you pick up an LS3, would pretty much be better in any situation that doesn't involve needing a backseat.

The VQ engines sound like a box of rocks?

Haha, you are not the first to say that. It seems it's either a love/hate situation. But no matter what it is a very distinct sound and you can always tell there is a nissan or Infinity near by.

I would LOVE a ZR1. I just cant spend that much on a car. Even a ZO6 is out of my comfort spending limit for a car. But Man 505hp would be sweeet!

ACtually you would be suprised. I checked and I will only be paying $70 more for 6 months with a 08 Vette over the 09 370z. The 370z is also $45 more then my 350z. Unless you mean the Zr1 or Z06 in which case I totally agree...ouch!

I would get the 370Z because i generally dont like american muscle cars for a variety of quality reasons.
In the end it is all about what you like.

Honestly...I see more woman driving that car...and they are usually selling mary k or avon in it. LOL

The other thing u may not know about it...it only has 320Hp 4.6L Northstar and only comes in automatic.

IT also has a base MSRP of 86,0000. Haha...If I was going to spend that much it the poll would be between a Nissan GTR and a Corvette Z06. I would probably take the GTR though in that case.

It's a beautiful car. One heck of a hard choice. Again I have to say that REvMatch manual just kicks ass.

I personally like that car is the only reason I said anything:)

I'm thinking of a 90's Vet only because I can get one for a few thousand. NO WAY could I get my hands on a 08 or I would jump on that....well IDK

My Nissan dearship just started a lifetime warranty on all new and used cars. That would be something I would really have to think about.....

    Back to the Vet!
Here is how you get those 500 horses without your insurance man finding out:p

No kidding a supercharger would be sweet. I would have a real hard time doing any hard-mods to a new corvette. Because I know if I F'ed it up, there goes the warranty.

Its funny how i hear people in the USA having 500HP or more and in the end nobody speeds on the major highways :)
