I have question about compatibility

I have bought ASUS Crosshair IV Formula 890FX with FX-8350, I am not try to do anything yet

so do you think it will work fine?

I have spent lot of time to read on google, but i got nothing. Some said it will works fine and other not

This motherboard was used with FX-8120

what do you think,

Both CPU's are AM3+ by the way....

Like Eidairaman1 said... Check ASUS website, it will tell you.

It should work with the latest update. The last BIOS update was way before the 8350 was release, so they haven't updated the list... in nearly 3 years.

It's going to be a gamble, they only list support for the first generation of FX processors. The 8350 is a second generation FX, so it might not work.

To answer your question, yes it does but not officially. I tested my old Crosshair IV with my FX 8350 and it worked with the most recent beta drivers for the first FX series processors. The problems I had was limited control of the processor for clocking and just changing features but I managed to push it to 4.5 on the board stable.

I do not however recommend it unless your willing to play with it, however there are also some custom BIOS's out there for the 8350 and that board.

that is the problem ASUS not shown FX8350 where it shows FX8150 are same ( same family )
maybe not update cpu list

yeah that is, it is work at ver. 3029 :) I was able to log-in BIOS setting. At this time i am just need Hard Drive to install win7

at this time it works, I hope there is no problem with win7 and its applications
