Lite-On SSD, a global leader in development and manufacturing of high-performance enterprise SSDs, will be attending the Flash Memory Summit, August 5-7, in Santa Clara, California. Lite-On will feature two new enterprise storage solutions - the M.2 PCIe P1P Series and N9S Series 2.5" SATA 6.0 Gb/s SSDs. Both units are designed to address high capacity and high performance needs of hyperscale computing, highly virtualized data centers, and high I/O server operations.

The P1P Series is a M.2 PCIe enterprise solution with capacities of 1 TB and power loss protection circuit all in a small form factor. This series is designed to offer the low latency through the PCIe bus. The small form factor and high capacity allow enterprise customers to pack more storage in a smaller footprint. The P1P Series can deliver sequential read/write speeds of up to 610 MB/s and 520 MB/s, while random read/write speeds can be achieved as high as 95K/15K IOPS.

The N9S Series is a cost-effective SSD solution designed for read intensive applications. Five models are available in capacities of 60-to-1920 GB. The N9S 2TB SATA SSD solution is the first in the industry to be available in SATA at this capacity. The N9S Series can deliver sequential read/write speeds of up to 400 MB/s and 360 MB/s, while random read/write speeds can be achieved as high as 75K/11K IOPS.

These SSDs will have exclusive Lite-On firmware that results in consistent performance and low latency performance. The drive has a MTBF (mean time between failures) of 2 million hours, and an endurance rating of up to 1 drive write per day for 5 years.

Both the P1P and N9S Series offer end-to-end data protection to protect from data corruption, power loss protection to automatically extend write operation in the event of a power loss event to prevent data loss, and TCG-OPAL support to assure users that data is secure with fully encrypted, restricted access to host. Exclusive firmware is used resulting in low latency and high quality of service.

Application workloads for the N9S include video on demand, media streaming, cloud file server, and data warehouse. Typical workloads for the P1P would include on-line transaction processing, financial transmissions, e-commerce, SQL Logging, email/messaging server, and collaboration.

Both the P1P and N9S Series offer consistent high performance, ultra reliability, and lower power consumption for the most demanding hyperscale environments and specialized groups of users.

"We're excited about having the opportunity to bring our enterprise solutions to the Summit show this year. These products suit the needs of those data centers looking for ultimate reliability and a very low total cost of ownership," said Darlo Perez, U.S. Managing Director.
