Help : Speakers with Budget $300

I want to buy good speakers with a budget of $ 300

what type of speakers? full range? bookshelf? monitors? powered? 2.0 or 2.1? 5.1+? What do you plan to use with them? Run them off your sound card or a receiver/amp?

Kinda have to fill us in before anyone can give you some ideas.

With that Velodyne sub i would go A/V, ever tried Polk Audio they are a pretty decent budget speaker and with the sub should give what you miss with smaller speakers.

If you go bookshelf wome nice speaker stands would be good too if you have the space, i like steel ones that you can fill with either lead shot or find grain sand (available from places like petco ).

BTW Newegg have some good sales on audio at least once a year when a new model comes out.

AsRock. Are you looking at my system specs? I ask because I have a Velodyne sub and the OP doesn't list any equipment. And the speakers I run with my sub are top notch.

I'm not the one looking for gear.
