Hi there,
I use an APC SmartUPS 1000 - its very reliable and so far it has been running for 4 years without changing the batteries.
The unit had a cost of $250 and a battery exchange is around $90.......it has never let me down.
In the manual it says that batteries can last for 3 to 5 years.

I'll have to second APC. Solid UPSs. I've used them on generator power 24/7 through Afghanistan and never a hiccup, and currently use one at home.

The Army uses them because they're solid :) (And probably have a decent government acquisition process.)

Hi..I use an APC Backups BR1000G....Very Solid and Reliable..
smoothes electrical disturbances in our home circuit. Expandable by daisy-chaining a second unit to the first one. USB controlled using PC CHUTE by APC,So i am able to keep an eye on the voltages...Only problem is that it is very heavy..I have it mounted on a case trolley..:D.

I have a APC XS 1500 that I've been pretty happy with. I've never pushed my machine so high that the UPS couldn't handle it. The XS 1500 can handle up to 850-watts IIRC. I should also note that any UPC will be heavy. The joy of lead acid batteries.

Also when you say you want to get a "1000w UPS" do you mean a 1000VA UPS? Even my XS 1500 can't do 1000 watts load (even though it's 1500VA) and you're looking at 300 USD or more for that kind of hardware. I seriously doubt your machine will draw more than mine given you specs, so I'm going to assume you meant 1000VA, not 1000 watts.

Check the price on that. Equivalent ones I could find were in the range of 1,500 USD. Not a cheap investment.

I know, i was just saying if youre willing to flash the cash there is one bigger than most peoples power supplies here lol.

Hey is triplite any good? Ive used isobars for people eho have treadmills in rooms with ATT tv boxes.

At work we have two rackmount Triplite UPSs. There was a time when one of them was acting super funky was was outputting bad power, but after resetting it there was no more hassle. Big UPS' are expensive. I think the retail price for the XS 1500 was 180 USD when I got it... or maybe it was 280... I really can't remember.
