Hi guys, got this problem:

Overclocked my processor, set multiplier to 42 whatsoever, when system boots to desktop and i open cpu-z, the multiplier is at 42 showing overclock but after sometime (Few seconds later) the multiplier changes to 34 and i have my clocks set 3400mhz constantly, nothing changes even on rpime95 and aidaextreme cpu stability test, so in short something is preventing the overclock ...

These screenshots attached are at the very start of the desktop after bootup and few seconds later

And few seconds later

Before you ask me question, these are the things i did:

1) I disabled intel speedstep
2) turbo can't be disabled in asus z77 and z68 boards, if it is disabled then the multiplier also disables
3) I have tried voltages as auto, 1.25, 1.275 ... same shit
4) at defaylt settings, that's 3.4ghz base clock and 3.8ghz turbo, it runs perfect at max clocks of 3810mhz
5) I'm running stock cooler, that should not matter as overclocking can be done and my temps never exceeded 60 on default settings, with o.c (which didn't happen) but due to higher voltage the temp goes to 70-75c

My PC specs:
i5 3570k
Asus z77-v lx
4gb ddr3 micron at 1600mhz
antec bp550+
1TB WD green

So i'm open to suggestions:

You have a lower end mobo. Didnt you learn the first time about not overclocking when you asked about the 265. It seriously doesnt give big gains. So a stable machine is paramount vs a non stable machine. JUST STOP OVERCLOCKING AND ENJOY WHAT YOU HAVE

Stop it man, just stop it, this board can already overclock i7 3770k to 4.7ghz, i did o.c my 3570k to 4.5ghz, what was pulling back the overclock was the monitoring software realtemp, i didn't turn it on by luck and i was going all the way at 4.5ghz, and low end board? might be, but a higher end board z77 sabertooth can neither overclock i5 3570k beyond 4.7ghz ...
