I am kind of surprised this hasn't been posted yet.
As of yesterday FarCry 4 has gone gold:

http://blog.ubi.com/far-cry-4-gone-gold/

The new game is due for release on November 18th 2014. It is being released on Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 4, Playstation 3, and PC, according to the article.

Here is a quick blurb from the article that says there will be CO-OP mode as well:
And then there’s co-op. Take one of the best parts of Far Cry – the open-world gameplay in which every second delivers a new story – and then bring in a friend. While you can still enjoy the entire experience solo, you now have “lots and lots of opportunities where it will be twice as much fun or twice as interesting or twice as funny with another person,” says Creative Director Alex Hutchinson.

Pretty good read through in the article.

I will have to stop myself from buying this before Christmas. Far Cry 3 was awesome, I expect no difference here.

Just a shame Ubi insist on producing games with a HUD that seems fit for "U" on predominantly adult title,
if it has same issues as FC3 it will be one to miss. (remember those black box instructions that obscured the screen and the message you are leaving the mission zone, not being allowed to wander off and explore)

Note: will wait to see PC gameplay

Do want if it's like FC3 i even liked FC2 as it showed what Ghost Recon 2 could of been. I really hope coop is not some slap dash crap like last time. But i bet there is no dedi with it and people are locked out from making mods for it and such which will be a massive shame.

Thanks for the post @stinger608, can't wait for this game. The 2 player coop sounds good actually, might be good, as long as it doesn't take away from the experience of playing solo.

Reminds me of the DS3 coop. At first it sounded totally stupid, but when I finally tried it out, I liked it a lot.

I have to say that I really liked the coop in FC3. We played a lot of 4 player coop on a LAN private match, and it went well. Sure it wasn't at great as the main game campaign, but it was still enjoyable.

Yeah sure it was alright but UBI been playing dumb for some years since GRAW fail and whats needed with a FPS coop modifiable game. It's about time to seek what made them money on the pc platform not this console crap following the sheep bs.
I know UBI Monreal still has what it takes it shows in FC2\3 time they stopped being common and do what works not this COD like crap.

It's what made OFP\Arma live so long, it never lost what makes it such a awesome game.

Ubisoft is a consoles first publisher. That's where they make most of their money.

We all know that.

If you look in to the Ghost Recon files you would find configurations of xbox right there. Maybe they should do some thing like what Rockstar do with GTA and delay the PC version.

How ever i can see them heading the right way with it all or at least trying a way that some what is working out, working more for the FC series which is to add too which is why i am liking FC more each release. But thing is about UBI they dont want you making new maps missions and scripting option as they want to keep selling it every year which is a shame although you never know and might even surprise me.

Sure this way of doing it is slow but seems to keep more people happier, if only the same was done with Dragon Age.

FarCry4 has a neat feature called Auto Drive. car will drive you to waypoint in real time so you can focus on shooting while the car is moving.

doesn't look like Ubisoft sent out any PC codes so a lot of footage is probably going to be console.

I hear the Co-Op is integrated smoothly into the game as part of the story, the same way they pulled it off well with SC: Blacklist. If so, I think that's great, and is probably a means of storytelling/gaming they should focus on.

That's a nice feature for a shooter that requires a lot of driving. I prefer a joystick for a lot of driving but I don't like using a joystick for a shooter. I prefer a mouse/keyboard for that so I like having the Auto Driver option in levels where there is a lot of driving/shooting.

Yeah, I think FC showed where Crytek wanted to go with Crysis and it's aliens before they and Ubisoft parted ways. Had they remained together, we might have seen variations on that in all the Far Crys had Crytek developed the follow-ons instead of Ubi.
