Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor - Playable After the Ending?

I'm currently playing Shadow of Mordor - for anyone who's completed the main story: can you carry on free roaming after completing the game? I don't know if I should get all the collectibles prior to completing the game due to this.

I only roamed around a little, not much. I decided to replay and find everything and such.

I left off with one story mission left prior to which I had dominated all Orcs in both maps. Then I made the mistake of collectible hunting, plants, etc. I ended up getting bored, other games launched, and I've yet to finish it.

Maybe I should steer clear of the whole completion bit, it's not my thing really. Takes the fun out of games sometimes.

You can do all the things you could before except playing the main missions. All the orcs are reset too, so you can play around with them all over again

Fair enough mate, although I'm the total opposite: I'm a completionist =P I do however play at least two games at a time and hop between each game every now and then so that the fun doesn't get taken out. For instance, at the moment I'm hopping between Shadow of Mordor and LEGO: The Hobbit =)

It's more me than the game. I get distracted easily with that itch to play the new games coming out.

Mordor is a good game though, one of the better ones of the year. I think it deserved it's GotY nomination.

Yeah I love it =) Especially the combat! Some of the best sword combat I've seen in a game.

I enjoyed Mordor, but in the second map, it got so I was looking for large groups of orcs, just to see how many I could dominate. With the chance to dominate neighboring orcs when I dominated one, it got a bit less challenging, and I kinda lost interest.

Yeah Dominating too much is probably part of what made it boring for me. Too many blue zombies running around.

Yes, the combat is the best I've seen! So satisfying to behead orcs in slow motion.
You need a pretty powerful rig to get good graphics and performance though.

I played it on PS4 graphic looked nice, but I'm sure it would look better on PC. Although, I did notice the frame rate drop after a couple of hours of intensive game play.

I liked it. The story is meh, but at least entertaining. My favorite is having to deal with Rattail(or something). I like getting on those orgers and waking around recting stuff.

I'm a casual LotR fan, if it means anything to you.
