gaming at 1080p TV

should i upgrade to 8-16 gb ram or is this just waste of money?
cause read tons of info and got no tests(last of them were in 2013( results were 4=8=16 in games), so cant check latest ones)
will it be useful?

I say 8 GB of RAM is what you need now. That's mainstream, and IMO I would now call it the minimum.

That being said, if you are running fine, then it is not an issue. But I believe it will be fairly soon.

It depends on what you use your rig for. Obviously one is for gaming so I would say 8 GB is enough right now. Your mobo has 4 RAM slots so if you get two 4 GB sticks you can always get two more on down the road if you find that you need them.

so thats the question)
before i updated my video, games were lagging in high settings/resolution, but after upgrade i havent get any issue.
games at full settings/resolution i played with avg 50-60 fps(even after 3-4 hour gaming):
Shadow of mordor
far cry 4
AC Unity
AC black flag
Tomb Raider
Sniper Elite 1-3
Alien Isolation
Ryse
so will i get any performance increase or just "it's mainstream", "my advice to you"?
cause 4k will be mainstream soon, but it got no sense to upgrade 42" 1080p TV to 4k TV(you're not playing so close to TV to see the difference)
also please mention - talking about TV, not monitor
thats the question, cause no up-to-date tests i saw

Having disabled the annoying Page File windows insists on using, I use 9-12GB of RAM while gaming.... I also use a few other programmes at the same time and usually have Chrome open with 1-3 tabs.

So, if you own a 4GB card like myself (+ half the world with these 970's lol), you have the PF disabled and like to crank up the details, you'll be needing more than 8GB of RAM.

it's a bit strange, my sisters's computer got 32 gb of RAM
even though(after disabling page file) sometimes she got message "not enough memory", do you got such mistakes?
also, she needs dat ram not for gaming - she's engineer, plus she encodes/decodes video

so its not about how much you have, have you checked what apps that run?

Never ran a Windoze rig with an active PF for the last 8 years.... never had issues relating to this, never had errors, either.

When the PF is disabled, however, I notice a nice boost in overall system responsiveness. Though, I may add, it is more noticeable with modern platforms versus the older S775/AM2 stuff.

4GB of memory is pretty low for gaming. It's pretty likely you'll be pushing and pulling things out of swap almost all the time. You should be able to get away with it if you trim down on what applications you have open (make sure to kill any web browsers especially), but moving to 8GB should give a noticeably good improvement. It's unlikely you'd need 16GB of memory just yet, but that depends on what your normal usage is.
