if you wont OC in future, you dont need both of them
these coolers are first of all for OC
second is for maniacs of silence(bigger heatsink->it can even passivly cool you CPU) so fans can run at just the lowest rpm and your system still is cool(also quiet)

Sounds good, i want my cpu to be cold. I will not make my choice right now, i`ll think more. If i choose frio ock how can i decide that the cooler will compatible ( sizes ) with ram. My motherboard is ( http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4950#ov ) and find a pictures with dimensions ..

1st of all depending on ram
if it's normal -np
if it's low-profilled -np
dont think you need big heatsinks on ram(nowadays dont worth it if you dont OC)
here's video for this case: start from 9:15

PS: Wiki
"Full-height 240-pin DDR2 and DDR3 DIMMs are all specified at a height of around 1.18 inches (30 mm) by standards set by JEDEC. These form factors include 240-pin DIMM, SODIMM, Mini-DIMM and Micro-DIMM"
you got 32.6 mm heigh on cooler

PPS:
http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/parts/motherboard/?compatible_with=thermaltake-cpu-cooler-clp0575
search for yours mobo-it's compatible

Why buy a 4790K if you're never going to OC? Should've bought the non-K version instead and saved some money. Between the two, I'd go with NiC C5 as it won't interfere with your RAM which has tall heatsinks.

I`ll fill my spec in my profile. I want K version because the non k version have 3.6 and 4 ghz, k version have 4 and 4.4ghz this is my reason. And nic c5 yes it`s smaller than frio ock. Tonight i have to decide. Thanks to all.

You didn't mention which case your going to use, but as others say the NiC C5 might be better choice from the 2
Seems the Frio OCK is pretty loud even on slow.

Are these the only 2 you have to choose from ?
Good luck, and congrats on the new build :) Too bad the Z77 3770K not working out for you.

What cooler did you use on the 3770K ?

I buy only some parts and in the begin in new year i`ll take another parts. The case that i'll take is corsair 760t. motherboard is ga-z97x-ud5h, ram is corsair vengeance pro, cpu is 4790k and video will be gigabyte gtx 970 or 980. I have i7 3770k with cooler frio ock and will be silent and perfect for me, but it`s old end of 2011 years i think. NiC C5 was available in 2013 and people said good think about her, but before some days i write the reviews and i don`t stay happy. And for that money i can take some water cooling corsair and now i don`t know what to make. I`m from bulgaria and here i don`t have big choice. Can u tell me your advice.
And sorry for my english i do my best.

Since you have Frio OCK and you like it, try it and see how good it works.
Since the 3770K was higher TDP, it may be just fine to run 4790K stock.
Only 2 years old, Newer is not always better.
My cooler is almost 10 years old ! I modified it to keep using on newer CPU, and it's s good or better than coolers 1 year old.

try using another option for the thermalpaste... i wonder you are using the one provided with it, maybe using some arctic MX2/4 or Gelid extreme would make a big diference, dont know if a delid may help to lower temperatures on your ublock processor for a refuture OC...

Relax! :) Nothing wrong with your English. I understood what you meant just fine. Indeed, I can find 3 or 4 people who speak English as their primary language that don't speak or write it as well.

sometimes usng the correct past would be pretty important but the correct mount method its the crucial part...
i would recomend you to use Arctic Cooling MX2/4 but if you have arctic silver 5 that would be fine.. i just hate the curring time it has...
By the way, do you have the exact name of the paste incluided with the frio OCK? not all models have the same paste incluided, we found some details about TG1 performing a little bit better than arctic silver...

rtwjunkie said it best, with patience we can usually try to understand, like instead of saying "creator of reviews" in forums it's "posts"
@st2000 It was more difficult to understand you want new case, when your video card was issue. :ohwell:
Great job finding Pavel Bacov the information for his OCK, he likes it and that save him money for SSD or something.

Most likely has to do with the fan header support trouble he had. I was wondering that t first, then understood.

His new motherboard will control his fan's so that takes care of his previous issue, and wont need a controller
Nice time to do a good upgrade since he don't have to pay alot of money :toast:
I'd love to have his Devils Canyon CPU and Your XFX GPU, but oh well;)

heh, wanna be kind, just tried to make a nice joke(practice is good EVERYWHERE)
I'd love to have his Devils Canyon CPU
it's even not close to worth "spent money/performance"(also you'll need a new mobo)
and you dont need to upgrade your cpu if you're not one of "green guys")
Your XFX GPU, but oh well
and it's worth if you can get in 140$
His new motherboard will control his fan's so that takes care of his previous issue, and wont need a controller
sometimes you cant control all of 3-4 pin headers even if you have this state in BIOS
It was more difficult to understand you want new case, when your video card was issue.
i'm angry russian Ivan that programmed only to kill for motherland, be patient to my english lvl pls)

Not sure what you mean about "green guys"o_O
A chance to get great CPU as the 4790K when you don't have to spend full cost is well worth it, just as you feel you got a deal at $140 for 280X.
Please Be easy about using a lot of the cussing/foul words here:shadedshu: A good reason a moderator close a thread.
i'm angry russian Ivan that programmed only to kill for motherland
Things like this "programmed only to kill for motherland" are an example of not needed to say this computer electronics web site.
We can understand you with just "i'm angry russian Ivan"
And gotta have some good ole Vodka and jokes :toast:

@Pavel Bacov is there a certain store you need to use to get your parts, like the CPU paste?

Joke About the CPU paste, I had a guy say one time he was going to use peanut butter on an old 386 pc, I asked him why on earth would you think that ?
So if it turns to toast, I only need to add jelly ?

sometimes usng the correct past would be pretty important but the correct mount method its the crucial part...
i would recomend you to use Arctic Cooling MX2/4 but if you have arctic silver 5 that would be fine.. i just hate the curring time it has...
By the way, do you have the exact name of the paste incluided with the frio OCK? not all models have the same paste incluided, we found some details about TG1 performing a little bit better than arctic silver...

Regards,

Sorry for the late answer i couldn`t write early. The 2 sides of the thermal paste is writed only this - Thermaltake Cool all your life and the paste is silver. This is all.

That should work good, if you are ready to put parts together.:toast:

The issue with Artic Silver is it takes long time for it to work best.
