Hi!

I just installed my graphic card http://www.techpowerup.com/gpudb/b604/asus-hd-7770-directcu-v2.html and I tried to upgrade it's bios version (with this file: http://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/121364/asus-hd7770-1024-120305.html) but it didn't work as I planned. Also I forgot to save an original bios version and now I have situation that my motherboard (ASUS Z97-AR) VGA_LED is turned on when I boot my system, so there must be something wrong with my GPU bios settings. And also there are nothing coming out in any display port.

So if anyone in this forum have the same graphic card with original bios version, PLEASE can u send me the original .rom file.

Thanks

Take your e mail off the post. Then with any luck Law-ll will show. Then don't mess with a VGA bios again

Hi

Welcome to TPU

With regard to the (ASUS Z97-AR) iGP (integrated graphics processor) will need to enable setting in motherboard bios - refer to motherboard manual

Sorry to say not much to be done without a copy of the original Vbios Image [nb: double checked my database]
[looks like they changed the Voltage Regulators on the HD7770-DC-1GD5-V2 uses UP1637]

If able to help the OP; part Number is 113-AD40500-105 bios rev 015.014.000.001.000746
OP vga .jpg

If get a copy of the original Vbios image will need spare PCI /PCIE vga card, on-board vga or iGP to access video/monitor

**If you are able to access windows with a spare vga card or on-board vga; Uninstall any AMD drivers for the vga card before the flash process**

Create a bootable flash drive
go here http://files.extremeoverclocking.com/browse.php?c=21

Download - HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool - v2.1.8 & Windows 98 System Files

click Primary Download unzip the files to a folder on your HDD; make sure your USB Memory stick is attached to your PC; open HP USB Disk

Storage Format Tool v2.1.8 ; select Create a DOS start-up disk/ select: using DOS system files located at: (these are the files you have just downloaded): browse to the files in win98boot; then start the process.

Download latest version of ATIFlash
here - http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads...sh%203.99.html

copy atiflash and [VbiosName].rom to the usb flash drives root directory

Set the motherboard bios to boot from usb *press F8 during boot; select from boot menu if option is available; this should boot to a win98 dos prompt

Type at the dos prompt - dir to view the content of the flash drive

Type at the dos prompt; atiflash -i 0 [see if adapter is at this address and is recognised]

Type at the dos prompt; atiflash -unlockrom 0 to unlock the gpu in adapter 0 [Note: 0 is the primary card PCIe slot one & 1 is the secondary PCIe slot two][*may be required]

Type at the dos prompt; atiflash -f -p 0 [VBiosName].rom [Note: 0 is the primary card PCIe slot one & 1 is the secondary PCIe slot two] [Note: when booting from on-board vga / igp also = primary position 0]

reboot once finished and remove the flash drive

reinstall AMD Catalyst Drivers

when I unplug my GPU from MB, I got picture out from my MB hdmi port, and when I go to my bios setting and set the primary GPU device to iGP and after that shutdown and plug the GPU back to MB, windows starts and works fine, but if I'll change in bios settings that GPU is my primary display device, system stopped working and then all the display ports (iGP and GPU) are dead.

I found my old box (HD7770-DC-1GD5-V2) and the part no. is 90-C1CS01-L0UAY0BZ. The GPU is not in operation atm but I could fire it up tomorrow and upload the BIOS.

It should be ready in the database now - HD7770-DC-1GD5-V2. If that fails I saved it to my HD and I can mail it to you. Best of luck.

If possible, could you zip a copy of the Vbios image and attach it here so that I have a copy for my database

Select: VbiosName.rom [file that was created]
press right mouse button
Select: send to / compressed zip folder
Reply to post and select "upload a file" to attach it
