I have been fighting with a new R9 290x black screening. Anyhow Powercolor has sent, me a fixed bios on Monday and another one today. They are wrong for my card, as I have Hynix H5GC2H24BFR memory and the bios are for AFR memory. Anyhow the tech at powercolor is now checking with Taiwan R&D about my specific GPU
But I am in possesion of the bios to fix PC PCS+ R9 290X black screening according to them
As well as we tried the PCS+ 290 today just to see, as my original bios matches by string the 290, but is indeed a PCS+ R9 290X.
I can install them, however cannot get drivers to install without blue screening while trying to install drivers...GPU-Z cannot read them correctly.
THanks
