Does anyone know where to get the backplate gpu screws with springs for GTX780?

I lost them and I'm trying to put my gfx card back together.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121779

I need the silver screws in the back with the springs. Well to be specific just one screw and two springs. Does anyone know where to source the stock ones? I need to return the card because the gpu has a tiny chip in one of the corners, I haven't tested it yet but I'm pretty sure it's screwed {pun intended}. It's a minuscule chip but I mean, comeon, it's such a complex part and so fragile, I'm sure it won't work. So does anyone know where to source it?

if you are talking about a chip in the corner of the pcb then its most likely fine as is (a chip in the core its self is another matter)
the screws are not something you can really buy
you need to contact ASUS if you need replacements

if its in the core its self and not just the edge of the core package then its most likely toast...

physical damage is usually not covered under warranty anyway especially if you been fiddling around trying to install a water-block or something ;)
only one way to find out is to power it on and see what happens
edit: the 780 should be protected by a Heat-spreader covering the actual core so a chip in the package should't be a massive issue

Yeah, I know, I'm a comp sci major. If it's toast I'm going to refloat a new chip on to it. There's no way to get new screws?

EDIT: Sorry if I sounded pretentious or a dick or both, I have aspergers so my social skills are not up to par.

you can't buy a new chip nvidia will not sell you a replacement...
and yes contact ASUS and ask for some replacement screws else your other option is to take a micrometer and measure the length and thread pitch and see if you can find a replacement but w/o the original screws you aren't gonna get a refund ...
where did you buy it that card has been out of production for quiet awhile

Never said it would. It gives me the knowledge to know what is what and what's wrong. I can buy abother gfx card with the same gpu but a damaged pcb and swap the chips. I have the equipment needed to do so.

itss not a re-flow you would need todo
you would need to completely re-ball the gpu and that requires special templates and access to a BGA workstation and it would't be worth the effort unless you could get a donor card with a known good core but damaged pcb ... and it still may not work because of differences in chip revision ...
install the card with two screws on opposing corners and see if it posts ....

I know. I have all that equipment. And I would check the chip revisions first Before buying obviously.

Edit: I would only need to buy a template.

check the card and see if it works before doing anything else ... because as it stands you have no warranty anyway due to physical damage ....
newegg/amazon are 30 days and asus is pretty strict with there warranty enforcement

Dude I know to test first. You aren't talking to a 15 year old kid. You're talking to a 25 year old adult with a bachelors in computer science and a minor in mathematics. I've been working with computers since preschool. Thank you for your advice, but I got it don't worry. It's out of warranty anyway with Newegg and asus wouldn't help anyway since I lost the screws. Thank you though for your input

dude, Computer Science, or Electrical/Computer Engineering? People who get jobs with Computer Science bachelors do not solder and assemble circuit boards, GPUs, actual hardware parts. The are programmers and application development. They don't code in any language much lower than C. And I know for a fact not very many of them know about the hardware part.

Yeah I know all of that. But you're able to have more skills than just what you learned in college.

you *may* not be-able to RMA it but they should have no issue with sending you some screws
if you are registered with ASUS they will send you the screws and little/no change

As was said you should test yours and see if it works before doing anything. If it doesn't and you want to go forth with the whole swapping gpu core thing then your donor card most likely will have the screws you need.

thanks man, I'll give that a shot. You're the only person in this thread who actually told me something that helps, and not just reiterate things I said in my first post or was condescending to me acting like I don't know what I'm talking about, and doubting my knowledge (capslockstuck you're exempt from this statement, lol)

Yes, like I said twice before, I'm going to test it first, I'm not an idiot. I don't need people telling me that I need to test it first when I said in my first post I was going to.

Edit l: onemoar, I just saw that you were being a bit dickish before, I appreciate the new post of yours though.

I say broadcast the need in the BST section. Someone has to have a few of these laying around going to aftermarket cooling or something.

Good news! THe chip on the gpu didn't affect anything! Ran furmark fine, although that's opengl. I'm looking for a directx stress test now as well. I'm going to be running other benchmarks as well to make sure. After I talk to asus and see if they can send some screws over.

I would't stress the card to much with only two screws if you do keep a eye on the temps
