I really have no idea. Part of me thinks that if all 6 are populated, the fans might be a little underpowered. I haven't done the math on it though.

That's the one I have my eye on. Some person here on the forum suggested it and I think it looks better than "y-splutter" one's. However, as you said it's 6 quid and when I put the shipping from UK....for me is like double. That's the only reason I haven't ordered one yet.

Do not know the brand or anything beyond the price but they are fine in my book. I have used many like that in the past for a few types of builds (Heck even some cases I have seen have something similar) and they all work just fine at delivering enough power for all the fans. As long as the fans are not something ridiculous (IE like 5000RPM fans) you should have no problem with something like that (Unless 100% fans 24/7 bothers you because I do not see a way to adjust fan speeds with that unless your fans have controllers on them).

I have a similar device in my system right now, although it is encased in plastic and has 4 connectors facing out to each side (8 total), and mine connects to an SATA power lead instead of molex, but it works just fine. Most of my fans are Corsair's that came with my Carbide 540 case... 4x 120mm, 2x 140mm's, and the last 2 are ThermalTake 120's that are on my Evo212 cooler

my thoughts are that running 4 fans ( 4 fan headers) through my mobo is putting an unnecessary voltage through the board when there is an option to use a completely separate rail and consequently spread the load.
I will leave the pump attached to the mobo and the rad fan but then power all the other fans through one molex via one of these adaptors.

One molex connector can handle 14 watts no problem. Looks OK to me!

Just remember the math. Volts x Amps = Watts.

I say that because .2A is less than some fans require to run at their rated speed. That's more of an average amperage. I've seen fans that draw anywhere from .13A up to .36A just off the top of my head.

This. Most useful formula ever when it comes to PC hardware.

FWIW the fan label I linked was a 120mm fan capable of 2000RPM, which is on the high side of power consumption when it comes to home PC fans

Molex can handle probably 10 amps so long as the PSU is capable of it. Can the wiring in that board handle 10 amps? I doubt it. I bet it could handle at least 1 or 2 amps so as long as you aren't plugging Deltas or Panaflo fans in every slot, it should be okay.

I have seen that adapter on ebay, amazon and also newegg, I haven't used or known about someone using it, I use this one:

the original splitter is safe to use? could be nice for a better cable management on case, less cable make things pretty easier,

well.....i bought it.

I currently have my pump and rad fan running off the mobo and all other fans running through this adaptar.
