If the price is sub-$300 this might be worth it. I just bought this exact version last week, not impressed with it though. I wish I would have gone with the eVGA or ASUS mITX version instead.

The copper heatpipes look absolutely horrible. In the marketing shots they don't look nearly as bad as they do in real life. Mine were very tarnished and look ugly.

Aside from the ugly pipes, was there anything functionally wrong with it? High temps, poor OC, etc?

Speaking from experience with gigabyte cards, they do tend to be louder than most, but only because the fans default speed is really high. My gigabyte WFx3 280x is quite loud at stock (with a massive 12.5" cooler) but if I adjust the fan curve I can get it very nearly silent (can only hear it if I open the case) and it only gets to about 75c.

It overclocked worse than my Strix GTX970s. I could only get the Gigabyte to 1465/1500. My Strix cards both do 1500/1600 with ease. I'm less than enthused with the memory on the back of the card with no backplate aswell, I have a feeling that is holding back the RAM overclock.

Temp wise, it is folding away at 65°C and the fan goes between 75-80% on the custom fan curve I set, yes this is audible. If I leave the built in fan curve it lets the card get over 70°C but the fan runs at about 60% and is quiet enough that I can't hear it inside the case.

Wow some people are lucky I guess. Sub 300$ price is really a steal, or the rest of the world is being ripped off, either way great deal.

In my town currently the cheapest I could find was 433$, not that I would buy something that expensive anyway
