Spank it in in there. It'll run single channel but eh. Always good to confirm it's running at the correct speeds once you get the system up and running; you can use cpuz.

If values are slightly off, you can manually enter them in bios

If you have the memory already, might as well just use it. You can always change it later on. If you do encounter memory issues, which may not happen, there are plty of us here to assist. Inputting some numbers shouldn't be too tough.

If you want to ensure compatability, you could pick up a kit that's listed on their list; a 2x4gb kit is pretty standard and don't fret about super high speeds.

Install the ram. Boot pc. Check speeds in OS using something like cpuz. If anything, it would likely be that the ram details to a slower frequency, like 1600 instead of 1866. Should that happen, it's easy to remedy.

dude like others mentioned. just plug it in. be sure that its correct way though. buying other ram is not a solution. as long as ddr3. I even use ddr3L on my asus z87m plus although ram wasnt listed in the ram compatibility.

the only reason you need to worry about bios is if plugging in new cpu's like 8 series chips motherboards and plugging a new cpus from haswell refresh like 4790k

yea... he looks kinda too worry if you plug it then you gonna start earthquake

brand is nonsense when all you need just the capacity, and make sure the chip is the same (thats why if you are not sure just buy dual channel pack ram that contains two rams) plug it and there you go

just for example-you could by other ram like g.skill or adata and still have the same chips under the ram-heatspreader -they all have samsung,micron,hynix-there are only 3 or 4 manufacterers for ram in the world

some board hardly running with different type of chip, thats one reason many brands offer dual channel or triple channel package so it would be easier just plug and done. so if you dont know what kind of chip on your ram , like my example my local brand

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
No idea what is going on here... I would NOT mix and match ram as that can cause instability (even if the major timings are the same). If you want to add to your existing ram, buy the same one or get all new and sell the old.
