What died about it, artifacting, no output, or is it just completely unresponsive?

Well I would love to help but unfortunately I don't have anything in stock that is a reasonable performance wise to a 7970. My advice is something like these:

If you don't care about noise to much (Or are willing to buy later on aftermarket cooling)

I just got done baking the 7970 so far it seems to have done it
heres hoping it lasts until 14nm gpus hit the shelves

Odd!!! I posted in here earlier I have a 570 lying about that's been dead for months and I baked it today and "fixed" it though my post has gone o_O:confused: anyway glad you're all sorted for now, hope it manages to last you :rockout:
