25 Character Requirement on all Posts

I don't like it. People could just spam the spacebar, or just jeep gabbering on until they hit 25. Besides sometimes you can have your point well-spoken in under 25 characters anyway and it would still be a good post.

bad idea unless you can limit in specific parts of the forum. Like it be bad in the FS part. In fact it be pretty bad any were as not every thing takes so many chars.

25 chars isn't really that many, some have misread or misunderstood as words, but 25 chars is really not many, I've already gone well beyond that point now...most of my posts do.

Sure some can have good answers in smaller posts, things like links and pics should veto the rule in such an instance. I usually just read over pointless posts that generally do no more good than waste space, sure I'm guilty of one here and there, but I try my hardest to refrain, there are a lot of good users on TPU that do the same also.

But I still think this may give users a reason to maybe think a little more about what they're posting. I still agree with it if it could be a positive implementation, I don't necessarily think we need to put the reigns on this horse yet, but it wouldn't hurt to have something in place either..I still see too much crap posted outside of General Nonsense that shouldn't be...can get annoying from time to time, but I suppose if TPU wasn't the way it is, I wouldn't like TPU how it is!

What if someone just need a yes or no answer to something? that would be hard to do if you have to use 25 chars.

Very true, and I do agree with that...that's also why there are polls too though!

I don't think anything will come of this, and we can't always expect mods to see everything that happens, but with the great community on TPU, I'm sure if some were willing to report more or help others understand where there are better places if someone just feels like posting BS, I feel things could improve from an overall good condition, anything to make a good place even greater like TPU definately gains my attention.

I read on TPU everyday. I dont see alot of useless post. Sure, there is some, but its next to nothing. Hehe, dont fix it if it aint broken

That could be a cool implementation, I don't know if this is IT for any kind of solution to the few problems I do see with TPU, granted it's not major, it can still be annoying and taken too far by a few individuals.

Hard saying if the 25 Char rule would change anything, but it's nice to see ideas tossed out for an overall goal of a better TPU experience...if it could be set for non-F/S/T + General Nonsense and such that would be a definate plus.

That's a pretty damn good idea! Make this more of a voluntary thing, if someone wants to keep more crap out, granted like said before some great help and answers doesn't need many chars, but there's also PM's if someone still wants to help right?

Any rate, I think that'd be a cool way to integrate a char min limit without it being too annoying or overpowering.
