25% off a dell is like a comp with the same specs bought on newegg with the same price as the dell after 25% off.

It's good if you are charging your comp and intend to pay it off over a long period. You get Dell support for at least 1 year. So that makes it tempting for particular people. Good deal for sure for certain people.

I tell them not to get a dell and to let me build it for them for free (other than the parts). XD

Well i was also refering to the kinds of people that dont know anything about them but want warrenties and cusomer support along with the build. I have built many in my time, but you run into those people that are better off buying one from dell and gateway, etc..

I shouldn't say anything probably as in my company Dell is the devil  but they do make some nice models. I've seen 10 years old Dell laptops still working, so they must be doing something right...

LOL I remember this dude got arrested. And he lost his sponsorship by dell. He lost out on like so much money LOL

and I can tell ya I worked in a call center supporting dell's and man it's just sad sometimes. I couldn't remember how many times I got yelled at when working on XPS systems by people when they broke them because they expected me to just give them a brand new one. Sigh...I no longer work at that company.

dell makes some pretty highquality laptops, so don't bash them so hard. i'd gladly take an xps laptop, if i had money and the use for one ;-)

as for desktops... completely different story.
