whats res do you game on ?

That's an important question, but in any event I vote fastest single card you can afford rather than any dual card set up.

and more that ram works betters in pairs 3x 1gb just isnt as good as 2x1 2x512 for the same amount or better yet a 4th stick for 4gigs true dual channel tends to be a bit better granted 3 sticks can now run dual channel on AMD its not really to my liking

It's true but my WIN XP 32-bit can only use 4GB of memory. 3GB in the slots (3x1GB DDR2) and 1GB (actually 512MB GDDR3) on the graphics card.

still dosent matter to me makes more sense to have the 4th stick true the ram amount might not get used but dual channel done right just sits better with me thats my preference ive run dual channel and single channel and i had odd ram sticks it just feels off eevy jeevies w/e you want to classify it as.

Are you going to update your OS? What's the point in updating to a DX11 card if you are limiting yourself to a DX9 OS?

I bought the OEM version of Win7 64 bit, because I wasn't happy about giving Microsoft any more money. I like it, even if it is just a cosmetic make-over of Vista at heart. Then again, I had no problems with Vista.

On the Polish internet forums it is claimed that VISTA is worse than SEVEN, is less stable and more sluggish. What is your opinion on this?

My opinion is that 90% of people who are talking trash about Vista have never spent more than 30 minutes with this OS.
I'm not saying that it's perfect, but it isn't as bad as they say. I had no problems with Vista as well.

um seven boots faster but only vista lets you FULLY disable UAC the annoying popup reminder thats on crack.

Seven is better at transfering files but i prefer Vista due to its greater tweakability.

7 is faster, has very useful keyboard shortcuts, has slightly different Start bar and other, cosmetic stuff.
I prefer 7.

VISTA is cheaper than SEVEN, which has only cosmetic changes. However, M$ probably sooner cease support of the older system. And what about drivers? Are there any problems with them on VISTA?

Don't even consider buying Vista now. Seriously.
It's cheaper just because people want to get rid of it from their warehouses. Trust me, it's a part of my work lol.

The 4850 really does not put out all that much heat. It has a reputation as a card that runs hot but that is because they were primarily sold with single-slot heat-sinks.

The card running hot due to using a tiny heatink is a completely separate and mostly unrelated issue to how much heat the card transfers into the air. In most cases a card with a larger heatsink that ran cooler would actually result in more heat output as the larger heatsink would be more efficient at transferring that heat into the air.

Correct. The heat output is DIRECTLY CORRELATED to the power consumption of the card in Watts. 2x 4890's will output a lot more heat than 5850. What you save on heating bills in the house you will spend on beer. That's scientifically proven.

I'm going to buy Corsair HX530W or Corsair TX650W or XFX 650W XXX Edition becouse my Modecom MC-620 Carbon isn't silent and the 12V=20A only - for two lines 12V max=470W

For about $20 (USD) more you can get an Apevia Warlock 750 Watt and it works just as well as the Corsair. I've had it for over 8 months and had no problems thus far, also I use it for my Crossfire and it never let me down :)

as noted here most REFERENCE 5850s will clock to and exceed stock 5870s with relative ease where a 460 oced can match a stock 470 which the 5850 trades blows with a 5850 overclocked can hammer a 5870 and even with both a 5850 5870 at max clocks there only 3% difference key point here is no 460 will overclock far enough to beat that performance and your looking for GPUs on amazon id suggest looking elsewhere for GPU purchases

You are 100% right because both of my 5850s are clocked to a xfx 5870 and I didn't tweak my voltages or nothing and they both perform just as well if not better than (1) 5970.

My temps are amazing as well, my master card idles around 43c and my slave around 35c. Max temps on master are like 65-70c and 55c on my slave. This proves that the XFX 5850 XXX can handle a lot of stress!

wait for 6 series card ftw! unless 5850's drop to ridiculously awesome prices, like sub GTX460 768mb price.
