My 4th Striker Extreme died last night so this morning I picked up a ASUS P5N-T Deluxe on the cheap.

OMG... So much more stable, easy to OC, and it runs cooler. :toast:

Why didn't I do this sooner?

Just for kicks:

Striker 1: Bad RAM slot
Striker 2: Unstable at stock :shadedshu
Striker 3: Froze in BIOS :banghead:
Striker 4: NB temp shot up to 100c randomly then it rebooted, turned off, then never would post again. :wtf:

When they worked they were pretty fast tho but they were picky about everything.

This new mobo just works. :)

Pics after I got the new motherboard and cpu cooler installed this morning.

welcome to the club. i had 11 i think. idk... maybe it was 12. i had a few p5n32-e's as well.

i finally went to the evga 680i. had 2 of them and never one problem. i followed them with 5 evga 780i's and 3 790i's.... all shit.

thats why i swear on asus. never once had any problems with the 30+ asus boards i've had.

Heh, yea.

I'm going to RMA this last Striker and sell it or use it in a spare non overclocked rig.

They are seriously going to be like WTF when I call them again. Blame it on "user error" or some BS like that. But ASUS has been good to me, I think the Striker was just too advanced for it's own good.

So far this board has been a dream.

I've used the EVGA 780i boards and wanted to shoot myself. At work I once had three DOA's in a row........
