Lian Li looks to assert dominance in the all-in-one liquid cooler market with the Galahad II Trinity Performance 360. Utilizing a new, thicker radiator design along with 28 mm fans, it certainly packs class-leading performance, but beyond that, it also has a host of new features and customization options to suit your personal tastes.

That's a good price consider the top tier fans and compared to the competition....although, as I'll never stop complaining about, I wish they'd sell a version without fans

You can always buy this AIO and resell the fans. They ship with a decent set so they should be worth something.

@crazyeyesreaper Nice review! Do you know the OEM of this unit? It for sure isn’t an Asetek one nor a CoolIT..

The first Galahad had Alpatek as OEM. And they did have severe quality issues. If it still is Alpatek, man I hope QA was made better.
I Still have an original Galahad 240 with zero issues performance remains the same as the day I reviewed it. So while there are likely QC issues with Apaltek, it's likely hit or miss. But I can say the same for every other brand as well. I have had just about every brand of AIO along with every OEM, and so far, in terms of failures, I have more Asetek failures than any other OEM. However, they were the most prominent OEM for a long time, so larger sample size, so take it for what it is. I am but one reviewer with a wide selection of coolers from most vendors but very limited in terms of the number of units in the same family of products.

Pump design is in house for all of the Galahad II aside from the one with the screen which is Asetek, but I'm not sure who's doing the manufacturing.

Great review and I'm glad more companies are starting to put out good performance AIOs without RGB.

Looking at the 2 screws in the cold plate which are the same screws used in the Apaltek 2019 platform (first Galahad), I'd assume this one is Apaltek too but a newer platform. But yeah, I hope their QA is now better, because they had issues with their 2019 and 2014 platform (Msi AIOs and Fractal Lumen).

Nice to see it performing well. Would like to see how Thermalright AIOs stack up as they are among the most affordable out there.

I have a Thermalright Frozen Magic 360 v2 and I'm able to cool a 13900KS at 5.7 P core 4.5 ecore sustained in P95 at about 85-90 degrees at 22c room temp, 280w-320 power draw

Hello,

Sorry for stupid question - if I mount this AiO on the front panel the airflow will be "in" or "out" from the chasis ?

All depends on how you mount the fans (you literally flip fans when you want to change the airflow direction). When installing on the front panel, you typically want the fans pulling air through the radiator and into the case.

Ahh understood
I thought (when mounting in front) fans sholud push the air from the inside to outside of the chasis - but thanks for your answer

Pulling air through the radiator into the case will make every other component run hotter, that's true. But bottom line, you always want the front fans to be getting air into the case. As far as I know, exhausting air out the front is quite niche.

Yeah the only previous Galahad I tested was the 240 version. That said, at max RPM the Trinity performs around 2-3C better on AMD in the FPU (extreme test) and 5-6C better in the blender render test. On intel 5 to 7C in the FPU test and 5-6C better in the blender test depending on if its MAX RPM or at 45 dBA. It's a sizable performance jump.

thanks for the reply and figures.

Think Im gonna hold for my original galahad then its about 3 yrs old and recently Ive repasted and cant complain, still holding.

The trinity performance have a good reviews but Ive seen reddit post about pump failures and high failure rate.

I like the trinity, however, I dont like the idea that fan relies on a switch where I need to flip. Hopefully, lian li can convert those into software flip so theres no need to manually flip it.

I have an upgrade itch tbh, but I dont think its worth couple of degrees only. But definitely, Id consider again lian li in the future
