the only ship to germany and ostery or what ever that name is well i live2 km from german border
Please buy that 3850 so WE can buy a 3870. Sods law. LOL.
To be honest, I most likely will buy one, not that I need too, my X1950 Pro is fine, it's just... it's so bloody tempting. ^^
I went from the x1950 pro 256mb to the hd 3850 512mb card and i can tell you it was well worth it even though i was very fond of my x1950.
just do it man !
Don't say things like that, I have a very weak will in certain contexts/scenarios. :/ I want one, I know that, but I don't exactly need one.... arrrrh! XD
... I'll hold out as long as I can to see if a 3870 or a faster clocked 3850 is released. That's if I can mind.
hmmm when i get one i start a AGP 3dmark06 benchmark thread
now for sale in netherlands! http://www.azerty.nl/producten/product_detail/?ID=65169&GROEP_ID=162

Took the words right out of my mouth

Man I really want this card!

thnx but no thnx my 850xt pe is still better than that

wicked nice Morgoth!
keep us updated when you get it
Apparently, the AGP 3850's in den Nederlanden (Amsterdam) smoke
POST some benchmarks as SOON as you get it. PS. Do some now on your old GPU so you can tell us the %age improvements.
on x1950pro clocked to its maxium AGP bus to 8x80mhz
core 627, memmory 1550mhz
cpu 3660mhz fsb 977 1.700volt
3 gigs of ram ddr4 running at 390mhz 2,5 3.3.8 no dual channel i get
I'll wait for a review before I make my decision and I have alot of time since it won't be available in New Zealand till the rest of the world gets the card but I'll probably be getting a PCI-E motherboard and GPU instead.
Thinking of going back to nVidia thoughas my X1950pro was only perfect in some games and stuttered in others, ironically older games.
any N/A sightings yet?
According to a thread at G3D, most e-tailers in the US already have the cards, but got a notice from the manufacturers preventing them form selling them, as currently there's no official driver support from AMD.
Some ppl have been able to get their hands on the cards, particularly the Powercolor model; however, the card won't work with 8.1 cats... One guy mentioned having successfully installed it using the Powercolor installation disc included with it (which happens to be an un-labeled CD-R according to him).
If he's to be believed, he got a score of over 9000 in 3DMark05 using a P4@4Ghz and Powercolor drivers, but he expects the score to increase when the official drivers are released.
We may only have to wait for AMD to release the 8.2 cats in Feb. for the e-tailers to start selling them... it's been a long and frustrating wait for me too, as even between my patients I keep checking from time to time to see if Newegg, ClubIT, ZipZoomFly, or any other e-tailer releases these cards... God, how I hate paper launches!!!
hmmm still waiting for mine i ordered it
Sapphire has a 3850 AGP.
Thanks for the heads up, that card was announced about a month ago, but the question remains, were in the US can we actually buy any Radeon 3850 AGP card....
I can`t belive AMD could create HD3850 AGP card, but driver.
im shure the driver is there but theyre prolly tweaking it so that it could MAYBE be vista compatible?
i just wish theyd hurry up and release them in N/A the minute i see 1.......................
