Chip just came in last week from Intel RMA, original was having problems with the IMC. Sad to see her go, but I've decided to downgrade-which brings up the matter of trades...

Trades: Willing to look at trades for 3770k's, 2700k's & 2600k's. Also in the market for higher-end Z77 mobo's & an H100 (long-shot but who knows). I can add cash accordingly, of course.

secondly (im not trying to be an asshole) but claiming to be from another forum doesnt help either as weve had TPU members that were scammed by other members claiming to be 'well established' on other forums that only used their account here on TPU for trading.

No offense taken, I appreciate the input & your points are valid. I'm not unaware of the community dynamics of well-established forums, members look out for each other. Yes, unfortunately, there are many disingenuous people who abuse the privilege of these B/S/T threads. If nobody feels comfortable taking a "chance" with a new member like myself that's alright = )

You know, even the 3820 isn't bad. It doesn't clock as well at the 2700k, but it does a really good job. The 10Mb of L3 is pretty generous for 4 cores and some tasks love it. SB-E has been great for me so far and anyone who is looking at getting an i7 should consider SB-E, because if you really need 8 logical cores, whatever you're doing is probably going to benefit from it.

Agree completely, had the 3820 for a few months & it was a fantastic chip!
