3dmark06 Test Results

    I just did a test with 3dmark06 and ended up with 7487 is this not low for my system? It looks like my processor is horrible I couldn't even get 1fps on the cpu test! Any idea whats happening??? :shadedshu

    Everyone gets that on the CPU test.

    That's a good score with a non-oced GTS.

    CPU tests I believe are limited to 2-3fps...read about how 3dMark 06 tests your system to better understand why it performs the way it does and you'll be more content! :toast:

    Alright sweet. I guess ill have to learn how to overclock my cpu and graphics card and see what kind of results I can get.

    you should be able to get 10,000+ with that, i got 9700 on a 939 system(2nd one in my specs) with a 320mb 8800

    Well mello is on Vista..but I wouldn't think it'd deter that much. I lose about 50-80pts in 06 going from Xp Sp2 to Vista.

    Scores proove nothing.

    It is just an obsession.

    As long as your games aren't slide-shows, it doesn't matter what your score/FPS is.

    I'd agree, the performance of those cards in benchmarks are significantly different to that you will get in games.

    Card X can score far higher than Y in benchmarks but in real gaming mode the opposite can be true.

    You should see about OCing your CPU and FSB frequency, both are limiting your overall performance in benchmarks and real world gaming. On top of that you will also notice nice performance boosts in other tasks such as MP3 encoding, compressing files with compression software etc.
