So I just received my new cpu cooler from a worthy source and it has a 4 pin female connector. But my mobo only has a 3pin male. It should still work as long as I have the main three on there right? (pbmaster said it should work but I'm just making sure)

Yes, the fourth pin is the mb speed controller. If you plug the 4 socket into the 3 header, you will just get fixed speed on the fan. All other pins are identical, so no worries.
