4850 vs 250 gts

hey i need sm more help i read the first theard in grpahics cards i am confused i read it twice i cant get it
so plzz can any one tell me i have 2GB ddr2 i am going to buy a 1 gb graphics card
what os should i use for gaming or which os will give me better performance
i have vista 64 ?

Stick with what you have and add another 2gb of ram as soon as possible. That's what I would do.

Edit:If you have 2x1GB sticks, you can either get 2 more 1 gig sticks and go for 4 sticks, if your motherboard has the avaible slots, or pawn your old sticks off and buy some decent 2x2gb combo
