4870X2 or GTX 285 None SLI or Crossfire games?

    Which would be better when running None SLI or CrossFire games the 4870x2 or the GTX 285?

    The HD 5850 will give you as much power as a 285, with a fraction of the power consumption, heat, and noise at about $100 less and will support directX 11. The $300 5850 or $400 5870 will be your best bet.

    If you're not bothered about PhysX then I'd highly recommend the 5850, really is an awesome card for the price.

    I was not aware that there were any recent games that at least after a driver release were not compatible with crossfire or SLi? I thought those problems had pretty much disappeared.

    personally, if I owned a 4870x2 or a GTX285, I wouldnt replace them with an HD5850, instead I would probably pick the HD5870.
