i have 4GB right now and i have 2GB from a friend but when i put it together it wont start..

What beep codes are you hearing?
What have you already tried?
How much reading have you done about RAM compatability?.
What are your pc specs?

test each RAM stick. it might be that the 2gb is not working.

It Runs now.. I just Tried to exchange slot until it works and now its 6.00 GB...
