Wow, that looks amazing!!
Been a great series lately.
Hopefully it will run smooth in DX11 unlike Arkham City.
Wow that pre-rendered scene looks great. I hope the game is good.
And my Arkham City ran great in DX11
That looks multiple times harder (hard as in better) than the last couple. Was that cgi or ps4?
And not a single second of actual gameplay footage.. yay
But its not gameplay,u cant tell anything about game based on this video.
Your right, you cant tell main story plot, new villains, or even any sense of how the game will be based.
Seriously though, its a great trailer to say the least. The new villains look great cause Joker and Harley were worn pretty thin already.
I have both previous versions so I guess I'm a bit partial.
I liked trailer myself, but still they could make a bit of game footage
THIS(these). Looks great for a cutscene, but what about gameplay?
It's a trailer. Game play wont be released for some time yet.
This trailer looks quite nice, but after looking at all the GameInformer articles and interview videos, the bit about being able to explore the breadth of Gotham City sounds iffy.
The interview vid with the art director only mentions AC and never Gotham, and only in a context of them basically putting window dressing on Rocksteady's map to make it look different. Then there's the fact that this team doesn't appear to have anywhere near the experience or expertise that Rocksteady does. The only game mentioned that any of them were involved with was an Incredible Hulk game the creative director worked on that came out in 2005.
I've always wanted to be able to explore Gotham City, and had hoped the franchise would eventually go there, but it seems like a lot for this team to handle. Sure they have access to Rocksteady's input, but that's not the same as hands on experience. Rocksteady had performance issue just with the AC map, and Gotham is much bigger. I get the feeling if we are going to be able to play in Gotham City, it will be somewhat limited.
So I have hopes for this game being good, but I can't help but be skeptical.
I didn't have any issues with the AC but I would really like some gameplay footage of this though.
Well if it really is launching worldwide on Oct 25 like their site says, we should see some soon I would think.
Here is something for you. Kevin Conroy stated he is supplying his voice to a Batman game, but specifically not this one. Also, Mark Hamill will not be revising his role as the Joker any time soon, though I don't think Joker will be in this game.
Thought he was for this one (batman)?
I thought I heard similarities to the voice of Two-Face when I heard Black Mask talk, so I went searching.
Look what I found:
It looks like there will be a Joker in this one too, and Troy Baker, voice of Booker Dewit in Bioshock Infinite, Alec Mason in RF Guerrilla, and Jake Muller in RE 6, is said to be voicing him. He did Two-Face and Robin in Arkham City as well. The guy is a very talented and versatile voice actor, and has a huge list of work for his age.
Since it looks like Black Mask is the main villain in this one though, we probably won't see nearly as much of Joker as we did in AA and AC.
Voice of Batman in Origins will be Roger Craig Smith. He is a decent VO actor, but he is not Batman.
