It would cost him a lot more money to go Intel, he has a suitable AM2+ motherboard why throw it away?

Hat, if you want an dual core upgrade your best bet is the Phenom II 550 X2 for $102.99, the X3 720 BE is slightly more at $119.99

Also I must admit that Kuma is looking good and is a bargain at $50, I personally wouldn't get it but I must admit it is very cheap and looks almost sexy when you squint one eye after drinking a pint of beer or two.

    Edit:

The Phenom II X3 710 is only $99

Also consider the new Athlon II 250, they came out about 2 weeks ago, they are dual cores clocked at 3 GHz default, 45nm and most reviews get them to around 3.8 GHz on stock cooling and on mediocre motherboards. Should be quite a bit faster than the Kuma.

I have to admit though, pricewise the Kuma does shit on the competition.

    Edit 2:

    Interesting Athlon II 250 review:

    Way to thread crap.

Meh... I don't need any more than dual, hell I dont really need any more than this single core. If I could get the Kuma to 3GHz (which I'm sure I can) that would be pretty much the limit of my cpu usefullness.

Great proc for the money, stock HSF got my gf's running at 3.3ghz, they clock way better than the quad core counterparts, I'm really tempted to pick up a nice air cooler and go for 3.5ghz with it.

the post you made did fit the definition of trolling. it had zero value content, purely designed for you to bash AMD.

you arent in any trouble (yet), but please dont try and argue your way out of it. you wont win.

if i were to post saying the following

'AhAHAAA you have a 9800GT, what a slow useless piece of *bad word*, you should have bought ATI'

you would get rather irritated, and probably report my post/fight back. that is exactly what your anti-AMD post would come across as. you didnt use any bad language, or direct it at anyone (which is why no infraction or official warnings): but it was entirely worthless to anyone, and the only thing it COULD do was start a fight with the AMD fans.

trust me/us - posts like that start flame wars fairly often.

Well you certainly don't respond in a polite way. Mussels in this case here argued resonable and rather polite, whereas you use not so polite language (STFU, shut your cakehole (lol)).
Aaaand this leads to a general agressive atmosphere and yes. We don't want that here.:ohwell:

That is a great deal Hat!!!! Nice looking out for the AMD system owners bro:toast:

@ Odameyer: You need to STFU, and shut your "cakehole" LOLOLOL
I don't think anyone here really cares to hear your argumentative attitude, and if kept up will most likely get you banned from this fine community:wtf:

And probably not a wise idea to tell one of the moderators to "shut your cakehole.":laugh::laugh:

Warnings and infractions have already been given. If this thread continues in this direction I would be happy to give more, as I am stuck to my PC all day anyways.
