You could probably get a 5830 for that price! I know you can get a 5770 used for alittle less

I cannot spend any more than $65. I also have newegg gift cards, so I'm leaning towards the 6670. I only have a i3 so probably won't do much good getting a 5830..I'd probably get one of the 6670.

6670 by XFX, Sapphire, or HIS?

That XFX has a low profile cooler- will likely run hotter and noisier. The HIS and Sapphire 6670's have pretty much the same PCB... the cooler on the HIS looks a little better for the application I'm buying it for but performance should be similar between them

If you don't care about the scambates, the Sapphire appears to be the best choice at $69. HIS is $2 more with shipping, only real difference seems to be a single slot backplate and crappier reviews lol. Too bad you can't afford a GDDR5 version or better yet a 5750/5770/6750/6770 as those are a lot faster. I'm sure a decent Sandy Bridge i3 could keep up with one.

I would go XFX and just zip tie my fan over theirs lol.. Like shii it has a life time warrant on it and if ou live in the US you could even change the cooler on it or just take their fan off and put our own on it...

zip tie a 80mm fan on that bitch

Wrong. XFX dropped the lifetime warranty recently. :banghead:

Don't know if you need DX11 or not, but if not I have a great HD4870 dual slot 512mb version that I would sell for $50 shipped. PM if interested. :)

Only on the 7xxx range with reference coolers( unless different than the US )..

The following Graphics Cards are eligible for an extension of the standard two-year limited hardware warranty:

1. XFX Radeon HD 7000 Series Dual Fan (Double Dissipation Edition) Graphics Cards with Ghost Technology; a floating cover design that maximizes airflow by creating exceptional venting throughout the card.

2. XFX Radeon HD 7000 Series Graphics Cards with 10-digit model numbers ending in “R” (example: “FX-797A-TDFR”)

3. XFX Radeon HD 6000, HD 5000, and HD 4000 Series Graphics Cards

4. XFX GeForce GT 520, GT 430, 200, 9000, 8000, 7000, 6000 Series Graphics Cards purchased after April 17, 2007.

I only have a i3

You're fine man with any card, only time you will notice a bottleneck is with a multi gpu configuration. Good luck with the find I have no either advice except go for the Sapphire or XFX card that was posted. I swear I saw an HD5830 here for $70 in the BST's though.

EDIT:

I remember who it was, send a pm to bobisgod. He may still have the cards.

At that price, there is no question it's the card to get. I have one running in a family rig. I paid $85 for it about 4 months ago. For the performance I get out of that card, even at $85 it was a steal.
