I just got a 6950 a few days ago and wanted to extend my desktop to my TV as third monitor, but apparently this still doesn't work at all. Windows just doesn't activate it and CCC tells me that to activate it another display needs to be deactivated.

I used to have a 4870 and a 4350 so I could have more than two monitors, and thought I could replace both with this new one. It can drive a bajillion screens for Eyefinity, afterall.

Am I mistaken or is there a work-around?

I believe to activate more than 2 monitors the extra monitors have to use the DisplayPort connectors.

+1 they must be display port or you can use Active display port to DVI adaptors.
