8600 GTS Only running at 8x

I have two EVGA 8600GTS PCI-E cards in SLI and when i run GPU-Z it shows the interface at8x instead of 16x?Any ideas on why or how i can fix this?

That is how your motherboard works.

The 570 chipset runs as a single PCI-E x16 slot when one card is inserted, or two PCI-E x8 slots when two cards are inserted.

You can't "fix" it as there is nothing wrong.
