Then my 680/1700/995 is okey :)

i can go higher but then i get erros as i sayed.. i just wondering that techpowerup can go so much higher... but if i see this

Hehe Memory 1000 or higher?.. where? ;) i think GPU 700 and memory 800 will be no problem... but i hink its better to let my card @680 and memory 995 ;)
yeah i noticed that, too. with some effort they managed to push the core 15 or 20 mhz higher but lowered everything else to default. i like mine the way it is, myself. final results:

:D

at stock i ran the simple "Video Card Stability Test" (the one with the spinning globes) and got an average of 357 fps. after i overclocked to 680/1700/950 i got 458fps. now, taking the memory and shader clock to 1000 / 1733, respectively, i get an avg 479fps. and sometimes the thing goes to over 500fps while testing. like to 514....not so shabby

my temps are ok for stock cooling, i think. right now in a 80F room rivatuner shows idle temps at 58c core and 50c ambient at 50% fan speed. when the room is cooler i idle around 55c core, give or take. highest temps i get is while playing Far Cry with high dynamic range lighting enabled. goes to around a high of 77c in a warmish room @ 100% fan speed, not much lower in a cooler room. acceptable considering the overclock and not even Crysis or Stalker take the temps that high.

oh, and Fahim i too had the XFX model for around a week. i was going to keep it, but regretted the purchase (trying to save $10 and S&H). i have a quiet computer and often go to sleep / relax listening to low volume music. lol forget about it with that card. mine is a bedroom computer and i spend a lot of hours here working, studying, and just using my computer in general. and it was just LOUD. not only did it annoy, it made the card seem "cheap" somehow. unrefined. loudest fan in my HOUSE, much less my case. lucky for me the card crapped out on me after 2 weeks (stock clocks) and i got to send it back and ordered the evga

i mean i know its considered a "budget" card but they need not punish us for being frugal :(

the evga is nice and peaceful =]

also...i know the "Vista Rating" system is kind of general.....but when the card arrived stock it rated my "Gaming Graphics" at 5.7. after my initial overclock to 680/1700/950 it went to 5.8. with the new overclock at 680/1733/1000 its gone to the maximum 5.9

success!! :rockout:

hey i'm up early this morning and doing some downloading :D

got me a nice 3DMark Pro that i was able to run once b4 it f-d up my computer during restart. good thing these Vista things have "Start Up Repair" and stuff. i had to restore my poor little guy to an earlier time :(

a time when 3DMark and all things related weren't on my computer, apparently. 'cause now its gone

which is fine idc

i should have backed up the install package / key gen thing just in case, 'tho

anyhow at least i'm legal now. oh and my score:

yup, compared to other AMD and equivalent intel machines (midrange 6 series processors) with the same card thats a satisfying score for me. all default settings. pretty close to stock 8800GT scores running on similar set ups. i can live with that

no more testing 'tho. i'm not risking my HD and a ton of BSOD heartache :(

i'ma gonna stop now

stock is 550/1375/800 so i think thats a good oc

EDIT: at 690/1733/1000 now

mem clock was a bit high maybe....saw some minor but weird performance things happening. dropped the shader clock back down to 1733, too

good enough

ok this is final lol!

ran a few test things....pretty sure its stable. card doesn't seem to like a core clock nearer 700 and the mem....after some adverse behavior in some tests....is best left there, i think

hopefully it remains stable

these 175.70 drivers are another story, however. i might just go back to the 169.XX things that seemed to do the trick well

all our older crysis scores were conducted at the wrong resolution and can not be compared. only gtx 280 and newer has correct crysis scores
