8800gtx stock overclock

Got my rma's all arranged from the last modding attempt. I'm scared to death to pull the stock cooler off my evga 8800gtx because I believe it voids warranty so...

This is a really dumb request as the thing just flat out cranks but....

I used the atitool when briefly attempting oc on the x800gto so I know about that. Rivatuner flat out confuses me, I played with that long enough to completely screw up an old backup card (6600le)

Anyone got a good guide to modify (Slightly) an 8800 gtx with rivatuner.

if you are going to "slightly" overclock the 8800 GTX i wouldn't recommend it, if it was mine that is. Just to get maybe a 4 or 5 fps boost isn't really worth it in my honest opinion. That thing is already a monster so just stick with it :rockout:

also, when i brought back one of my old video cards to RMA i put the stock cooler back and such.. they didn't know the wiser

I know you are looking for a guide but that is my 2 cents worth

Allways push fan up to 100% before playing with o/cing!
Mine runs @ 576/1350/900 easy, but it's gts/2
Temps are allmost same as at stock clocks so it is extrasafe
About fps: at def clocks (513/792) ATItool cube runs 840fps avg
@ 576/900 930fps
@ 613/900 980fps
When you change core&mem clocks, shader is changed to.
