9.12 for Vista/Win7 x86/x64

Supposedly I think we all heard there is supposed to be a huge performance boost from 9.12 drivers!!! I can't wait. If even half of what you are showing me is true with that Vantage score I will be a really happy camper!!!!

I was going to download these but.... it's only a day away as Little Orphan Annie would say.... So I will wait till tomorrow to get them from ATI. Nice find though!

These drivers are sure taking their sweet time to pop up, its like 10:30am thursday here, it should be about 6:30pm around canada and the US, eeeerrrrhhhhhh!!! please hurry

Well I am sure that these are some type of Beta's. You probably won't have all of those problems by the time they come out tomorrow.

The 9.11 CCC Hot fix were the first Drivers I ever downloaded that weren't one hundred percent certified. I try to always wait for the real one from ATI. Otherwise you never no what your getting. But that's just me.

Hey guys, I just did a fresh reinstall on my computer just to fix all the problems i've had with the hd5970 and I wanted Windows 7 and my games to be on my SSD, but my question iz and im sorry this is off topic but, I still get those reboot hangups, for example, I install a simple antivirus program like avast and it needss to restart, but every time I do that the screen goes black and my computer just sits there doing nothing, any ideas cause i feel like this video card is dodgey or something.

OK now I just got a weird green screen of death, I dont know wat the fuck is going on with computer, but ever since I put that f...ken POS video card in its been stuffing up like crazy, I dont know wat to do!

Trying to install RE5 but for some reason now all this chinese writing comes up, seriously this card is wack!

Chaos, my system hung like yours sounds like it's doing for quite some time. My question is, is it hanging until you power it off from the PSU and then firing up normally after completely powering down? If so, I had to update my BIOS, chipset and sound drivers. I also unplugged and replugged my mainboard power.

I hope this issue of your gets fixed.

Also, I can't wait for the official 9.12 drivers, I'm getting tired of my 5870 crashing.

Yeah it just hangs there and the only option is to turn the PSU switch off and turn it back on again, at first I thought it would be the video card then I thought it could be the MB bios needs updating, but I never had any issues with my HD5870 from sapphire, but then again, this is a dual GPU card in crossfire, so it might need some updating or maybe just a bitch slap :laugh:

. I've got the latest sound drivers as well as for the chipset but its just the bios I gotta update, anyways thanx for the help and wish me luck :toast:

Cat 9.12 and Sapphire 5770- red screen bug?

FYI. With these drivers installed, The desktop screen occasionally turns all red and the computer freezes. I noticed this happening after playing borderlands .

can you explain what games are buggy and what you've noticed to be glitchy?

Also, in 9.11 I have this tiny nuisance that everytime I start a game I get a little "screenshot" of the last game i was playing in. Like If I'm playing fortress forever and close it to open dirt 2.. as dirt 2 opens I see a "screenshot" of fortress.. kinda funny actually.

i'm on single GPU atm, due to the weather. still getting it. its just a brief flash, so those with screens that blank out when changing resolution etc, wouldnt see it.
