970 vs 980... How does the 3.5+.5gb thing effect non real-time applications

I got the 970, bit of issues with some of my bigger scenes though. Nothing to do with the memory I don't think. Investigating..... Small benchmark scenes do fine.

Its a problem with .hdr files and drivers, no biggy.
