i have a few more questions about the 4870 performance , when i was having stuttering problems with my sapphire 4870 512 which i purchased last august . it has taken me 3 moths to get the local retailer to replace it , but the stutter @1680x1050 is still present no matter the driver or res i use . so i put my old gecube 3870 gddr3 oc ltd edition back in and purchased a second matching card from ebay , then reinstalled driver 9.6 and no stutter at all in any game i play . i must admit the fps is a little lower but as smooth as silk even in crysis warhead , now i always thought the 4870 was more than twice the performance than my old 3870's in crossfire (pictured below) . i even overclocked the 4870 to 800/1000 (4000) , but my old 3870 has gddr3 and although overclocked by gecube i clocked it to 870/1000 (stock 850/960) . should not the 4870 be better than 2 3870's in crossfire or did i get it wrong ?
