and sadly there seems to be no performance increase in games it has been tested on ... the higher FSP is mainly due to the factory overclock ....

If you look at the graphs, they've blocked out the GTX480 result, as you might expect (it's quite annoying of them, really). I'm gonna stick my neck out and say that graph will fall somwhere between a GTX285 & GTX295 - ie unimpressive.

Now gimme your guess!

Yeah, seeing more and more teasers as time draws by.

But... I still think it will perform better than a 5870 - it's just by how much. One thing is for sure though, if it DOESN'T beat the 5870 in 90% plus of games, it's a fail.

Yep... im gonna bet that might be the case too. Like I said, better than a 295 and its something already.

you can see what area of the hexic graph has been blocked out.

By using the epic powah of zoom, we can speculate that they have blocked out upto 116fps, HOWEVER they may have needed to block out the numerical value printed to the right of the graph as well, which would leave it in the mid-90s area removing the width needed for the numerical figure. Of course this is all speculation at this point.

Dude, they're just dots. If they stopped them earlier it would mean nothing as well. The stopped dots dont infer the fps, any graph reader could do that and that is a blatant violation of the NDA.

IDK this is the day my purchase of a 5870 will either be justified or not justified. Either way i got a 5870, been a long time with nvidia, even if the card is faster. It doesn't justify making me wait all this time for it....

Hmmm.... I like it, I like it. That's good reasoning there, HE. They might have drawn it like that as a clue. If so, then it'll be pretty damn good and I will eventually buy one when the slightly improved 'GTX485' comes out and the price is a bit more reasonable. This is exactly what I did with my GTX285 purchase. We'll know in a few hours.

I'm not pointing at the dots. Look at the striped background - it is mis-aligned where i have highlighted and across the horizontal all the way back. I was not pointing at the dots

Yeah, +1. W1zz's is always the definitive review in my book, too. Couple of years ago, there was some card reviewed on other sites (4870 perhaps? Don't remember.) and W1zz was late with the review. I actually PM'd him to find out when he would publish it. He did after a few more days.
