My next door neighbor saw me yesterday, and decided to give me his old laptop. :rockout:

Alright, so it aint new and all, but it was free and it DOES work, unlike it's battery :nutkick:, so it has to run on it's charger.

Anyway, it works well enough to stick a new Laptop hdd and install windows XP mini... a very trimmed down version of windows XP.

Enough of that bit since that works nicely... but there are about... six or seven things that need drivers... we found the graphics drivers, but one particular device is the Cardbus Controller. (Or under the other laptop harddrive with win98, a Generic Cardbus Controller) I've found that only windows update website has the driver, but since we haven't got it connected to the internet we cant get it from there. :banghead:

Does anyone have any ideas where we/I can get a Generic Cardbus Controller Driver?
