I'm wondering if anyone has one of these laptops (Acer Aspire 1700) or used/upgraded one and knows what kind of RAM and graphics it takes.

I know it uses DDR RAM, but i'm not sure if it takes standard 184-pin DIMM's or laptop 200-pin SODIMM's.
Its the same with the graphics; I know it uses an AGP 4x slot, but is that a standard AGP 4x slot or a "laptop" slot?

The thing is, someone I know is coming next week for an upgrade, and I want to get the parts for him so I can do it all in one day. Now, from what ive read, its not an ordinary laptop (its like a desktop/laptop thing), hence the reason as to why im asking the above questions :D.

Please post only if you are 100% sure, because I will be buying the parts based on the responses in this thread :p.

    Thanks!

That's odd.. I think the best thing to do is to contact Acer and ask.

A picture BTW that shows the memory.
