Acer Laptop RMA

My brother's laptop hard drive just died. This is now the second one to die in it within the last year. I'm thinking now that it has a faulty board that's killing drives and want to RMA it. Only issue is I don't know where the original drive is. Would they want the original for an RMA?

yeah if you rma it the stuff must be original, you aint allow to modified it or you gonna void the warranty

If you put extra ram in it. remember to take those modules out and put the old ones back in...Otherwise the tech at Acer is gonna take them out, put it in his pocket and walkout with them after work.

One of my friends had a similar experience with a shop that was running phone repairs. my friend had an 8Gb Micro SD card in his nokia when he took it in for repairs after the firmware totally crashed and rendered the phone useless.

When he got the phone back, he found out his 8Gb had turned into a 2gb, when he approached the tech at the store about it. All of them claimed it was a 2Gb card to start off with. So id be a little cautious

yep, all back to its default and pay attention to warranty sticker on it some may void it if it go broken
